At Don Amott Parks, we believe that a family vacation isn’t complete without your furry friend. Understanding the importance of your pet in your life, we’ve created a network of pet-friendly holiday parks. Our parks are not just accommodations; they are destinations where your dog is as much a guest as you are. With stunning landscapes and plenty of exploration opportunities, your next break promises to be memorable for every member of your family, including the four-legged ones.
At our five parks you’ll find that your dog is as welcome to share the hospitality we offer as you are. We want every family who stays with us to enjoy themselves and relax properly – and that really does include your pooch! Close to each of our parks there are towns you can take your dog for a walk or towns you can visit, and even dog-friendly activities you can take part in.
LOUTH Lakeside Park Based in North Somercotes, near the town of Louth, you’ll find plenty of amenities and activities on park for your enjoyment. Though dogs aren’t allowed inside the facilities, we now have an alfresco garden room for you to wine and dine with your pets, just don’t forget to book first! You’ll find plenty of dog walking opportunities in the area around the park too; the Covenham reservoir and Louth Canal circular offers a walk of around six miles, through picturesque scenery which showcases the Lincolnshire flatlands beautifully. A little further out the 3 mile South Elkington circular should see you and your dog strolling for an hour to an hour and a half. Around North Somercotes itself there are three or four different shorter routes you can take if you’re just looking to give your dog a quick leg stretch.
LINCOLNSHIRE Nettleton Park Packed with plenty for everyone to enjoy – including a nine hole golf course (but don’t walk your dog here!) plus two large individually stocked fishing lakes and one beautiful nature lake – Nettleton Park is the perfect spot for outdoor lovers to enjoy. It is also located within decent driving distance of Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Lincoln, so there are days out aplenty available too. You will be hard-pressed to find better dog walk surroundings than Nettleton Park, nestled at the base of the Lincolnshire Wolds and home to the Viking Way, which takes its name from the Norse invaders who once roamed here. This trail weaves through the Wolds to Caistor, continues down the Bain Valley to Horncastle, extends to Woodhall Spa, and can even reach Lincoln for those with the stamina and desire to explore further.
MABLETHORPE Willows Park Nestled in a picturesque landscape, Willows Park is just a mile away from Mablethorpe, where vibrant energy and seaside amusements will keep you occupied, but but there’s no need for your furry friends to leave the park. We have a pedestrian bridge by way of access to our adjoining 15 acre paddock which has been set up as a woodland and extension to our on-site dog walk. The sandy beaches are also great for dog walking (though there are, of course, restrictions in particular areas during the summer months).
MABLETHORPE Whispering Waters Our park at Whispering Waters is a mere stroll from the centre of Mablethorpe, where there are plenty of shops and amusements to keep you occupied. There are also dog friendly pubs in the town when you want to stop by for some food or a drink. Speaking of sand, in the opposite direction you’ll find are miles of safe beaches for you and your dog to explore.
SKEGNESS Windmill Park This park, in the village of Burgh le Marsh, is tucked well away from any hustle and bustle, offering plenty of peace and quiet while also being close enough to the nearby attractions of Skegness. All of the beaches in this popular seaside resort are dog friendly (other than a stretch on Central Beach during the summer), and there are also some good pubs where you can take your four legged friend. Nearby Ingoldmells also offers some great spots to walk the dog.
All of our parks are dog friendly. So you can bring your four-legged friends to Lakeside Park, Nettleton Park, Willows Park, Windmill Park and Whispering Waters, and they will truly be as welcome as you are! When you’re looking for a dog friendly park, ours really stand out from the pack.
There are plenty of shoreline locations you can take your dog while you are staying with us. For a start, the seaside towns of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness are all within easy reach. Your pooch will be playing in the sand before you know it – and there are also some great dog friendly seaside pubs where you can get something to eat and drink.
Dogs are allowed at all outdoor areas, but must be leashed at all times around the park. This is a requirement at all of our parks.
