Lakeside Holiday Park Receives VisitEngland Gold 5 Star Award & 95% Approval Score for 2024

We’re very proud to announce that Lakeside Park has been awarded a 95% quality score and a coveted Gold Award five star rating in a recent assessment by VisitEngland, the official tourist board of England. In its report, the organisation describes Lakeside Park as:

“A perfect holiday destination, ideal for relaxing and exploring the local area,” and “a stunning park, beautifully landscaped and maintained”.

Our flagship park, in North Somercotes near Louth, has seen sustained investment over the years, as we seek to continually improve the offer to customers and maintain our already high standards. This is a commitment noted by VisitEngland during their walk-around inspection. Recent work at Lakeside Park which was highlighted in their report includes this year’s installation of a padel tennis court (one of the only two at holiday parks in Lincolnshire, the other being at Nettleton), the retarmacking of the roadway into the park with new speed bumps added, the completion of the children’s sand pit, and space-increasing efforts around the exterior of social hub The Waterfront Club.

To achieve a five star rating from VisitEngland, parks must provide progressively higher quality, alongside a range of services and physical facilities. Lakeside met these conditions, impressing VisitEngland enough for them to comment:

“This tranquil park presents to an extremely high level throughout, with excellent facilities and activities,” with Staff also highlighted as working in “friendly, caring and established teams.”

VisitEngland park assessments and ratings are based on categories, with each given scores based on a list of criteria. The sections observed, examined and assessed include Cleanliness, Toilet & Washing Facilities, Park Grounds, Pitches and Recreation, Sport & Leisure. Lakeside Park scored consistently highly across the board during the May 2024 visit, including 90%+ and 5 Star ratings in all categories other than Privately Owned Caravans / Seasonal Tourers (4 Star). Lakeside Park even achieved a full 100% in the Toilet & Washing Facilities category!

What this recent VisitEngland report and rating highlights, is the impeccable quality of Lakeside Park and Don Amott Park’s commitment to providing excellent facilities and the highest standards in idyllic holiday environments.
